The recent Putnam County Grand Jury has returned the following indictments. The charges were unsealed Wednesday afternoon. An indictment is merely a formal accusation of guilt, and accused defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Frederick J. Baker Jr. (300 block of Lincoln Avenue, Institute, W.Va.): obtaining property in return for a worthless check.

Joseph R. Ball (4700 block of Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, W.Va.): driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense, driving on a suspended license, driving a motor vehicle without the required security, driving on a revoked license-DUI related, and obstructing traffic.

Brandi S. Bird (100 block of Hedrick Road, Scott Depot): robbery in the second degree and conspiracy to commit robbery in the second degree.

Jessica A. Blake (1900 block of Buffington Avenue, Huntington): forgery and conspiracy to commit uttering a forged writing.

Tabatha D. Blankenship (400 block of U.S. 35 North, Fraziers Bottom, W.Va.): conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Michael S. Boggess (unit of Showen Hill, Bancroft, W.Va.): breaking and entering, grand larceny, conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

Jason R. Bounds (W.Va. 2, Red House, W.Va.): breaking and entering, petit larceny, four counts of forgery of a public record, fleeing from a law-enforcement officer and obstructing an officer.

Selwyn G. Brewer (unit of Fairview Drive, Hurricane, W.Va.): grand larceny and petit larceny.

Kenneth P. Cantrell (100 block of Littlejohn Drive, Scott Depot): three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree and three counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust to the child.

Franklin E. Cooper (W.Va. 2, Hamlin, W.Va.): possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Jesse J. Cossin (Red House): murder of the first degree and attempted murder of the first degree.

Stephen B. Crosier (W.Va. 2, city unkown): nine counts of daytime burglary, two counts of nighttime burglary, 11 counts of grand larceny, two counts of attempt to commit burglary and destruction of property.

Norman C. Duff (2100 block of Winfield Road, Winfield, W.Va.): operating a clandestine drug laboratory, possession of a substance to be used as a precursor to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacturing a controlled substance, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, conspiracy to operate a clandestine drug laboratory and possession of a controlled substance.

Cameron A. Dunn (2100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, St. Albans, W.Va.): conspiracy to commit manufacturing a controlled substance and conspiracy to operate a clandestine drug laboratory.

Roy S. Eads (W.Va. 7, South Charleston, W.Va.): breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
