Albert “AJ” DeWayne Riley Jr., 17, of Elba passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. and continue until time of service.
AJ was born April 9, 2003 in Enterprise. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert DeWayne Riley Sr. He loved video games and music. His dream was to become a surgeon because he wanted to save lives.
He is survived by his mom, Stephanie Riley (Jeremy Grubba) of Enterprise; sisters, Nina Riley and Sommer Riley both of Elba; paternal grandparents, Anthony and Fran Sullivan Riley of Elba; maternal grandfather, Steve Jones of Goodman; maternal grandmother, Dianne Grantham of Enterprise; aunts, Charly Thomas (Ashlee) of Elba, Elizabeth Crawley (Ryan) of Troy and Melissa Maier (Hubie) of Cowarts; uncle, Stevie Jones (Jennifer) of Goodman; and many cousins.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in AJ’s memory.
