Adam Troy Klingensmith, 15, was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, December 28, 2007 after a tragic accident. Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 from 6 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will begin at l p.m. on Wednesday, January 2nd in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Shreveport. Officiating will be Rev. Allen Pittman of Life Journey Church. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
Adam was a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Shreveport and a freshman at Byrd High School.
Our sweet beloved baby boy will be deeply missed by so many as we are lost without him. Our only comfort is knowing that he is with God now smiling down on all of us.
Adam was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Nellwyn Klingensmith; great-grandmother, Marguerite Parnell; and great-grandfather, Joachim Thibodeaux.
He is survived by his parents, Amy Dillard and Troy Klingensmith; brother, William Klingensmith; uncles, Trey Dillard, Kirk Klingensmith and Jeff Klingensmith; maternal grandparents, Fran and Roy Dillard, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Bill Klingensmith; great-grandmother, Gloria Thibodeaux; and great aunt, Alene Bagley.
Pallbearers will be William Klingensmith, Kirk Klingensmith, Jeff Klingensmith, David Ferguson, Jr., Chris Ferguson, Jason Martin, Eric Thibodeaux, Justin Ryan, John Elliott and Andrew Swan.
The family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Shreveport Youth Group.
