Danae Sosa-Zubia

October 17, 2003 - April 4, 2021

A loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, and niece, Danae Sosa Zubia, 17, gained her wings on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Bland, Roswell, NM, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 7:30 PM. A Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 10:00 AM. On October 17, 2003, Danae was born to Manuel Aaron Sosa Marquez and Iveth Sosa Zubia in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a senior at Dexter High School. Danae also attended Goddard High School, and was part of the Volleyball and Track team her freshman and sophomore year. Danae loved her family and friends dearly, and she cherished the moments she spent with them. She enjoyed working out, shopping, thrifting, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite things to do were playing Call of Duty, taking selfies, and listening to music. Danae was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she was an altar server. She had a beautiful spirit with a caring personality. She was a fun, outgoing, and vivacious young lady who dearly loved being part of the Dance of the Matachines. Danae’s presence will be sorely missed. When you think of Danae, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. SURVIVORS: Danae will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Manuel Aaron Sosa Marquez and Iveth Sosa Zubia; grandparents: Emilia Berzoza Valles, Maria Sosa Marquez, and Jesus Navarette; sister, Debany Sosa Zubia; boyfriend, Victor Villalobos; and her lovely pets: Cyder and Moonia. PRECEDED: Danae is preceded in death by her sister, Darely Sosa Zubia and grandfather, Rito Zubia.
