A Belmont man faces a charge of negligent homicide in connection with a head-on crash that killed a Massachusetts woman.
Richard Conrod, 47, was arrested following the crash that killed Tiana Lozzi, 20 of Lynn, Mass., who was a front seat passenger in a 2004 Nissan Murano.
Police say Conrod was driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra when he crossed the center line and struck the SUV driven by a 20-year-old Massachusetts man.
Lozzi was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV and three passengers – a 45-year-old woman, a 1-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl – were hospitalized.
Conrod, who suffered minor injuries, is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 13 in Belknap County Superior Court in Laconia.
