OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A drunk driver will learn his sentence Monday for killing a cyclist in Ottawa County.
Earlier this month Kevin Babcock pleaded no contest to several charges including second degree murder and driving while intoxicated causing death.
Back in June Babcock ran a red light on US-31 in Holland Township, hitting 19-year-old Curtis Jacobs and another teen as they rode their bikes.
Jacobs later died from his injuries. The other victim recovered.
Police say Babcock had 20 drinks before getting in his car that day.
He faces a minimum sentence of 20 years in prison.
